Save the Jews of Yemen

One of our Federation system’s most important missions is to rescue Jews who live in danger of persecution: in recent history, we have resettled more than one million Jews from the former Soviet Union and Iran.  Today, we are called upon to rescue the Jewish community of Yemen.

Last December, a prominent Jewish teacher in Yemen was assassinated.  Recently, the home of a prominent Jewish family was fire-bombed, and the 270 members of the Yemenite Jewish community are experiencing increasingly hostile intimidation from their neighbors.  You can make a difference for them today.  Click here to donate now to the Connect 2 Israel - Global Jewish Lifeline initiative, to support their resettlement.  Click here to read more.

Announcing The Rose Project: Transforming Jewish Life on Campus

Jewish Federation is proud to announce the launch of The Rose Project, a new Connect 2 Leadership Initiative established through the generosity of The Ernest and Irma Rose Foundation.

The mission of The Rose Project to ensure that students on Orange County university campuses and community leaders are informed about issues of Jewish life and Israel, that they are deeply educated on the facts and the myths, and that they are fully engaged in dealing with the challenges that emerge.  The Rose Project also seeks to facilitate respectful dialogue and shared learning amongst different constituents on campus and in the community.
